Picón de Zurita is a vineyard of old clones of the Tinta Fino or Tempranillo variety located on the banks of the right bank of the Duero River. It has loamy, sandy soils, with alluvial soil on the surface, an extreme climate due to its high altitude of 750 meters, it is a flat farm, whose vineyard is 100 years old, which perfectly regulates its production, and expresses its terroir. It is one of the oldest plots that the winemaker and businessman Carlos Moro owns in the Ribera del Duero.

The grapes from this vineyard receive meticulous and manual care, they have a triple selection of cluster and grain with an artificial vision system and carry out their alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks to later carry out their malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. . Subsequently, the wine rests for 18 months in new French oak barrels.

VISUAL

A red wine with an intense and lively cardinal layer is appreciated, with purple tones.

NOSE

Aromas of acid black fruits with a concentration of Chinese ink and dark chocolate among noble cedar and ebony woods, clove spices and roasted coffee.
